The Story of Qasim Chunri House
Generations of master craftswomen, thousands of hand-tied knots, and 100% natural dyes made to be treasured.
Abbasnagar, Pakistan · Established with Tradition
Every Knot Tells an Heirloom Tale.
Qasim Chunri House was founded to preserve and celebrate the timeless artistry of Pakistani bandhani tie-dye. Unlike factory prints, genuine Chunri is born from patient human touch. Master artisans meticulously pinch the finest lawn, chiffon and pure silk fabrics, binding thousands of tiny dots with cotton thread before immersing each piece into vibrant, plant-based dyes.
When the threads are gently released, an intricate kaleidoscope of diamonds, sunbursts, and geometric patterns is unveiled. No two pieces are ever identical — each slight irregularity is a badge of authentic handmade heritage.
100% Hand-Crafted
Each suit undergoes over 12 stages of hand-binding, boiling, and sun-drying in open-air courtyards.
Natural Plant Pigments
We formulate traditional recipes using pomegranate rinds, madder root, indigo, and marigold for deep, lasting color.
Direct Artisan Empowerment
By eliminating middlemen, our master women artisans earn fair, dignified livelihoods while preserving cultural heritage.
